Assistant Accountant! FTC 6 Months
Are you a part-qualified accountant with a keen eye for detail and a knack for financial management? We have an exciting opportunity for a six-month contract position as an Assistant Accountant with a growing pension administration business.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Director to maintain our general ledger system and ensure accurate accounting records. This role involves overseeing a small team of administration staff and managing essential financial tasks such as banking arrangements and client fee invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise daily postings to the account’s ledger
· Oversee bank and control account reconciliations
· Prepare the monthly management accounts pack for review
· Assist in producing regulatory returns
· Act as a liaison during our accounting system migration
· Ensure smooth processing of financial transactions
Required Skills and Experience:
· Part-qualified accountant with 3-4 years of experience, or equivalent
· Strong financial control and management accounting background
· Experience in financial services and regulatory reporting (preferred)
· Proficiency in Excel
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
· Meticulous attention to detail
Monday – Friday 9-5pm
Fixed Term Contract for 6 months
Salary up to £50,000 DOE
