Our client who specialise in the development and commercialisation of innovative therapies for treatment on non-melanoma skin cancers is recruiting a Business Development Specialist to be based in Germany but have focus primarily in Germany but also to manage new client relationships across the EU. You will experience in sales and also strategic marketing developing relationships with our clients, negotiating agreements, you will be able to conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan for each individual catchment area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with prospective first- and second-line customers, while maintaining existing relationships, deriving individual measures for the continuous and further development
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s needs
  • Close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and optimization of marketing, sales and medical activities, training and oversight, active communication
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Product presentations, workplace in the office with regular customer visits and high willingness to travel
  • Support of all sales activities including presentation and sales measures to the customer

Your professional requirements:

  • Experience in Business Development in Oncology, Dermatology, Radiopharmaceuticals, medical devices or pharmaceuticals (desirable)
  • Preferably a natural science, healthcare related or biology degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software
  • Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
  • Experience in account management, strong customer orientation and sales-oriented way of thinking
  • German and English fluently spoken and written, additional foreign language skills (preferably Italian) are an advantage

  • Goal oriented, good negotiation skills as well as being a team player
  • High willingness to travel
