Business Development Manager

Up to £70,000 pro rata (32 hours per week)

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the tech/digital sector. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, connecting businesses together and creating opportunities for growth.

Taking the lead on community engagement, event delivery and network development, this is a pivotal role in shaping and growing company presence across the region:

 

  • Design and deliver business support activities for existing and prospective businesses.
  • Deliver a strategic plan to position the business as a leading hub for digital and creative businesses.
  • Take the lead on the annual tenant survey to capture feedback and improve service delivery.
  • Identify and onboard high-value partners, influencers, and collaborators.
  • Lead on marketing and engagement campaigns in collaboration with external digital marketing teams.
  • Plan, promote, and deliver regular events, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Build relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders in innovation, funding, and SME development.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective tenants.
  • Collaborate with the Local Authority, Growth Hubs, business support organisations, and commercial property agents.
  • Support onboarding and conversion through proactive relationship-building and CRM management.

 

We are keen to hear from candidates with the following:

  • Proven experience in business development within the tech, digital, or innovation sectors.
  • Strong background in organising events, seminars, and strategic meetings.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills across private and public sector stakeholders.
  • A creative and proactive approach to building partnerships.
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems for relationship and pipeline management.
  • Passionate about regional economic development and the digital/creative industries.

 

This is a permanent position based in Warrington with free car parking, expensed travel to other sites as required.

Hours will be 32 per week and can be flexible.
