CAD Technician – Warrington
Seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Technician to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical drawing experience and a solid understanding of construction and fabrication processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing detailed construction and installation drawings for a variety of projects, working closely with architects, clients, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Duties:
- Read and interpret construction details and develop installation drawings for on-site use
- Produce high-quality technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and steelwork fabricators
- Liaise with architects and clients to understand design requirements and provide technical support to construction teams
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant regulations and building standards
- Apply knowledge of materials and design principles to assess fabrication and construction feasibility
- Carry out site visits and surveys when required
- Prepare working drawings for all stages of projects including manufacture, construction, and installation
- Maintain accurate drawing registers and project records
- Resolve design queries with clients, architects, and project teams
- Ensure drawing approvals are achieved within project deadlines
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a CAD Technician or similar technical drawing role
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and fabrication processes
- Excellent CAD skills and attention to detail
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work closely with clients and project teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
