A leading Logistics business, with a focus on 2 man delivery, has a position for an experienced Carrier Manager with Sub Contractor experience who is a strong leader and enjoys being hands-on also. The role will involve day to day managing of the contracts covering all aspects of Sub Contractor/Carrier Delivery Performance to ensure continuous improvements to the end customer delivery experience. Based in the Cheshire area as this is a position that requires travel, in the Midlands and Cheshire, for driver checks we are looking for candidates that are based within the Cheshire area.
This Carrier Manager position will need an experienced hands-on Manager who can complete spot checks, check deliveries, KPI’s, management of subcontractor drivers & carriers SLA’s, weekly carrier costs - invoice validation, develop a strategic relationship with the carriers, reduce costs, and ensure continuous improvements and development of the clients accounts.

Day to day:
- Recruitment and Training of subcontractor drivers
- Proactively analyse daily delivery performance, manage exceptions
- Analyse customer and related data recommend improvements
- Account Management
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Review carrier accounts to ensure best rates
- Develop strong strategic relationships with carriers and client awareness and support
- Produce packs for monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
- Ad hoc reporting as required
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring procedures
- Continuous review and improvement.

Salary is 37-0k with a 2k bonus
