Chief Risk Officer

Liverpool, Merseyside

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 – Hybrid working.

Leading Financial Services organisation are looking to recruit a Chief Risk Officer for their Liverpool office. This Liverpool based role will be hybrid working.

This role will be responsible for embedding the risk management frameworks into the business.

As the company continues to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Risk Officer to join the team and lead the risk management efforts.

Key duties:

• As the Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for implementing the risk & compliance frameworks and managing the company's overall risk management strategy.
• Work closely with senior members of the team and develop strategies to manage financial and non-financial risks.
• This includes but is not limited to financial risk, operational risk, regulatory compliance, and strategic risk.
• You will lead the compliance team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the effective management of risk throughout the organisation.
• The role will work closely with stakeholders at all levels of seniority, where you will be providing insights, advice, and constructive challenges.
• Oversee the compliance team with complex compliance & risk related issues.
• Provide risk reports to the directors.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes and controls and make recommendations for improvement as needed.

Experience:

• A strong understanding of Risk Management with Financial Services.
• Must have worked within a Compliance & Risk role with financial services.
• Ideally have experience of reporting to board level.
• Experience of leading a compliance team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
