Commercial Account Handler

Wirral, Merseyside | £30,000 - £38,000 | Hybrid

A well-established insurance brokerage based on the Wirral is looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3+ years’ commercial insurance broking experience who enjoys managing client relationships, renewals and mid-term adjustments across a varied commercial client base.

The Role

• You’ll manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients, providing a high level of service while supporting renewals and new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing renewals, MTAs and day-to-day client enquiries
• Handling commercial products including Property, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contract Works and Motor Trade
• Obtaining, negotiating and presenting quotations from insurers
• Preparing accurate risk presentations and ensuring appropriate cover is in place
• Reviewing clients’ insurance needs and identifying additional cover requirements
• Supporting new business enquiries and quotations
• Liaising with clients and insurers to ensure policies are placed and serviced accurately
• Maintaining accurate records and complying with FCA and regulatory requirements
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and insurers

We’re looking for someone with:

• 2–3+ years’ commercial lines insurance broking experience
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy wordings
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a client-focused approach
• Experience with Acturis would be advantageous
• Cert CII preferred, or a willingness to work towards it – study support available

• £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, with hybrid working in the Wirral office.
