Cost Controller

Are you an experienced Cost Controller with a background in steelworks? We're looking for a skilled professional to join a team in Warrington, managing the financial costing aspects of  key steel-focused projects. • Accurately report cost variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure costs are properly allocated and controlled.
• Monitor costs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to budgets.
• Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations for projects to maintain positive cash flow.
• Negotiate project final accounts and manage the preparation of payment applications.
• Produce internal cost/value reports as required.
• Evaluate hours allowed at the tender stage and reconcile hours worked in the fabrication process.
• Input budgets and costings into company software.
• Manage Contracts, Bonds, Retentions, and Collateral Warranty documentation.
• Perform Steel take-offs, measuring and qualifying materials from drawings and specifications, including issuing sub-contract orders where necessary.
• Attend client pre-construction and start-up meetings as required.

• Strong knowledge of steel-related costs, supplier networks, and contract management practices.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
