Defendant Motor Solicitor – Warrington
Seeking an experienced and motivated Defendant Motor Solicitor to join a growing Defendant Motor team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services while supporting and developing colleagues within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Defendant Motor Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of defendant motor claims while playing a key role in supporting the wider team. You will provide technical expertise, guidance and supervision to colleagues, helping to ensure that cases are progressed efficiently and in accordance with client expectations, regulatory requirements and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of defendant motor claims in line with company standards, client protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, support and technical guidance to members of the Defendant Motor team.
- Assist with the allocation and management of workloads to ensure cases are progressed effectively and deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor team performance, file progression, service standards and compliance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Support the development of team members through coaching, mentoring, feedback and technical training.
- Identify performance, training or quality issues and work collaboratively with management to implement appropriate solutions.
- Handle a broad range of litigated and pre-litigated motor claims, including:
- Liability disputes
- Repair and credit hire claims
- MOJ and non-MOJ personal injury claims
- OIC Portal claims
- Indemnity disputes
- Allegations of fundamental dishonesty
- Utilise the Proclaim case management system to proactively progress cases and maintain compliance with client requirements.
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor status (or equivalent relevant legal qualification).
- Experience handling defendant motor claims, including litigated matters.
- Strong technical knowledge of motor insurance litigation, personal injury, credit hire and indemnity issues.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using case management systems, ideally Proclaim.
- A client-focused approach with a strong commercial awareness.
Monday – Friday – Hybrid role – Main office in Warrington
Salary £48,000-£57,000 DOE
