Finance Assistant

This dynamic and forward-thinking company based within the Hazel Grove area is seeking a Finance Assistant on a full-time or part time time basis (4 days a week) The role offers a private pension, private healthcare, bonus and 25 days of holidays as well as a laptop and phone, flexibility around working hours and your birthday off as additional leave!

The position also comes with support with studies and a clear career development plan. The role will be 75% finance and 25% administration so you must be flexible, confident, and have the ability to get stuck in straight away!

The company allows working from home however there will be days in the office located within the Hazel Grove area so you must be local to the area and have transport, as public transport links are not located nearby.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Managing the account's inbox
  • Dealing with queries
  • Assisting the accountant’s bookkeeping team with any queries and providing missing receipts & invoices
  • Creating invoices
  • Posting of purchase invoices onto the ledgers
  • Reconciling the account
  • Producing reports at month-end and ad hoc
  • A small amount of B2B credit control

Skills & experience required

  • Ideally studying for AAT
  • GCSE English and Maths grade A-C
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Previous experience in a Finance role with an understanding of purchases and sales
