A unique opportunity for a Paraplanner or Financial Planning professional looking to take their career in a different direction.
We’re working with a growing financial services business that is looking for an experienced Financial Planning Content Specialist to combine their technical financial planning knowledge with a passion for education, communication and content creation.
You’ll play a key role in creating long-form financial content that makes complex retirement and financial planning topics easy to understand for a wider audience.
This is a great fit for an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but is looking for something more creative than traditional suitability report writing.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the research, scriptwriting and financial modelling behind engaging financial education content.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching retirement planning topics including drawdown, decumulation, tax and sequence of returns risk.
- Writing engaging scripts that explain complex financial concepts in clear, straightforward language.
- Building accurate case studies and financial models using planning/cashflow software.
- Working closely with the production team to develop content ready for filming.
- Keeping up to date with developments across retirement planning and financial services.
- Helping turn technical financial planning concepts into content that genuinely educates and informs.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong financial planning knowledge with excellent communication skills.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Level 4 financial planning qualifications such as CII Diploma, DipFA, CISI or equivalent — completed or in progress.
- Experience using financial planning or cashflow modelling software.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to make complex subjects easy to understand.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of technical accuracy.
- A genuine interest in retirement planning and financial education.
- A creative mindset and an interest in content, marketing and communication.
- A desire to move beyond traditional paraplanning or financial advice and build a career in financial content.
Why This Opportunity?
This isn’t a traditional paraplanning role.
It’s an opportunity to use your financial planning expertise in a completely different way, creating content that can reach and educate a much wider audience.
If you’re an experienced Paraplanner or Financial Planning professional who enjoys research, writing and explaining financial concepts and is looking for a more creative career path, this could be an ideal next step.
