Our client, based near Wilmslow, Cheshire is looking for a new team member to join their research team.

This Research Assistant position combines a mixture of research into economics, analysis and market research. This position would suit someone with excellent client management skills that enjoys research, can speak French and can support campaigns.

The role will involve accountability for client accounts, managing client projects and lead generation campaigns.

Client projects/campaigns include:

1. Research into market sectors to identify the most appropriate conferences for a client city/venue.

2. Research to identify, qualify (against set criteria) and develop/make contact with conference organisers (leads), understanding their destination selection process, engagement with decision makers (as appropriate) and promoting the client’s city or destination.

3. Research to identify most appropriate local person (based on academic reputation, likely influence, status etc) such as academics, city stakeholders, sector/cluster leaders who could be appropriate to lead a ‘bid to host a conference’ and develop/make contact with this person to try to motivate/persuade them to consider leading this conference bid.

4. Co-ordination of ‘recruitment campaigns’ to secure attendance of guests for client hospitality events, sales appointments and ‘familiarisation’ visits to the clients’ destination etc.

5. Representation of clients at trade events such as exhibitions, hospitality events, buyer forums etc.
