The role is for a Grant Writing Consultant, the positions needs experience in either grants, technical writing or bids and educated to degree level. You will be working among some amazing businesses to help progress the R&D side of their business through grants. This position needs a candidate who can immerse themselves into their client's business to help when writing bid applications.
Responsibilities:

Working with clients to qualify their ideas for funding programmes.

Working across a range of industry sectors including energy, environment, chemical, biotechnology, ICT, health, transport, manufacturing

Market research analysis

Patent searches to qualify the competitive landscape and true innovation of a particular idea

Working directly with the client to prepare high quality grant applications.

The compilation of information required for the submission through to the writing of the bid

All the workings needed for the grantor body: from the analysis of the business and market opportunity available, technologies offered, to the innovation, route to market strategy and impact.
The ideal candidate will have the desire to develop a small section of their own client base within the UK from recommendations & referrals.
Attending industry events to promote services, through to the development of relationships with multipliers such as Venture Capital companies, tech incubators, IP attorneys and industry networks.
Qualifications:

Degree in a scientific or engineering related degree.

Previous grant writing experience OR SIMILAR is a must

Experience in strategic consultancy or technology transfer

Excellent communication and proven networking skills in previous positions

Affinity and preferably experience with commercial and account management skills

Available to travel within Europe on occasions
