HR Advisor

This exciting and busy HR Advisory role is based within the Wythenshawe area, we are looking for candidates who have Advisory experience looking to continue their career in HR.

The client offers amazing benefits, a yearly bonus, and a fantastic working environment including an onsite gym, swimming pool, and annual family holidays. The role is working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm on site.

Ideal candidates will have experience in advisory, CIPD Level 3 minimum, ideally looking for candidates who have HR experience working within retail, but other sectors will be considered as well.

The role is a very generalist HR Advisory position, looking for candidates who are open-minded, flexible and have been exposed to offering support, guidance, and advice to Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st class practice HR advice to Area Team Managers including recruitment and selection, employee relations, policy interpretation and implementation in line with company practice, reward/recognition, and development.
  • To provide support on a wide range of topics including capability, discipline, grievance, performance management programmes and absence management ensuring action takes place in line with procedures.
  • To accurately maintain the database for reports to be efficiently compiled.
  • To ensure the appropriate implementation of policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Work closely with the payroll & department colleagues to maintain, communicate, and ensure the effective running of the departments administration function.
  • Play a key role in department ad-hoc projects.
  • Working with the HR team to support, and advice other colleagues when needed

Key Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisory Role - essential
  • Ability to demonstrate solid experience in a Generalist HR role or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, competent and professional attitude
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment Law
  • Knowledge of good HR policy and practice  
  • Effective Time Management skills with ability to prioritise work in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills
