An exciting opportunity to join a well-established construction company has become available. My client based in Warrington is looking for an HR Business Partner or an experienced HR Advisor. This role is a 9-month maternity contract and would suit an interim HR Business Partner or an experienced HR Advisor looking to take their next career step. The role offers a hybrid working split between, home working and in the office. This is a stand-alone role so it is crucial that you can establish yourself quickly with relative ease and perform the duties with confidence and minimal supervision.  You will report directly to the HR Director and the successful candidate will be a key member of the HR team to provide efficient and timely delivery of generalist HR advice and support to the company's internal divisions, as well as supporting HR activities.

The ideal candidate would have strong organisational skills and have a lively, bubbly character that thrives in a team environment and also can work successfully on their own and think creatively. You will have a resilient personality and be a confident communicator at all levels, with a proven record of building relationships with all internal clients. A high level of personal integrity is essential, you should be someone who displays respect and empathy for others and is consistent, open, and honest.

Duties for the role:

  • Performance management, disciplinary & grievance

  • Absence management and employee relations activities

  • The role will provide line managers and employees with advice on day-to-day issues

  • Supporting our company values and our overall vision of creating environments for people to thrive.

  • The candidate must also demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, how to apply this in the workplace, and previous involvement in policy writing

Essential Requirements:

  • Human Resource qualified including membership of the CIPD (L3 or above)
  • Hold a valid driving license
  • Be fully IT literate in word and excel (at intermediate level)
  • Have held a previous HR Advisor role
  • Understanding of the principles of good HR practice and knowledge of employment law
  • Have a demonstrable record of success in previous roles

Standard working hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4 pm on Fridays (one-hour lunch break each day)

Annual holidays: 25 days plus 8 public (pro rata’d for the duration of the contract)

Salary £33'000 

5% pension
