Import/Export Documentation Clerk – FTC Till January 2027 - Liverpool
Looking for an experienced Import/Export Documentation Clerk to join a busy shipping team on a Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) until January 2027. This is a demanding and fast-paced role where accuracy, organisation, and strong customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and processing documentation, including Bills of Lading.
- Receiving and managing documents from customers.
- Chasing outstanding administration tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Supporting the department with a variety of admin duties.
- Manage the import and export documentation process to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA regulations.
- Coordinate with transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics effectively.
- Utilise CRM software to maintain customer relationships and streamline communication.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers and freight forwarders to optimise costs and service levels.
- Always delivering excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in import/export, ideally within a shipping company or freight forwarding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive, positive, and “can-do” attitude.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Salary £26,000-£29,000 DOE
