Internal Sales – Irlam

Are you an organised and customer-focused sales professional looking for your next challenge? Looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join a busy and supportive team. This role would suit someone with previous experience in internal sales, sales administration, customer service, or sales order processing who enjoys managing customer relationships and ensuring orders are delivered efficiently from enquiry through to completion.

As the key point of contact for customers, you will play an important role in processing orders, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring lead times, and ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently while managing the order book.
  • Liaising with suppliers to confirm stock availability and delivery lead times.
  • Providing customers with order updates and confirming delivery schedules.
  • Arranging deliveries and coordinating logistics to meet customer requirements.
  • Checking order specifications, pricing, and monitoring delivery performance.
  • Uploading purchase order numbers, invoices, and relevant documentation onto internal systems.
  • Chasing outstanding invoices and payments where required.
  • Preparing and issuing quotations in collaboration with the Account Manager.
  • Tracking sales performance against budget targets.
  • Assisting with sales budgets and forecasts when required.
  • Following up on actions from annual contracts, account reviews, and customer visits.
  • Managing sample requests and checking stock availability.
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Providing customers with technical information, certifications, and product documentation.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in an Internal Sales, Sales Administrator, Sales Order Processing, Customer Service, or similar commercial role.
  • Strong order processing and administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience liaising with suppliers, managing lead times, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Good commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach.

Monday – Friday 8.30-5pm

Early finish on Fridays

Salary £30,000
