The Patient Booking Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients seeking appointments and support with their medical journey. This position involves managing patient bookings, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a friendly disposition to assist patients effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high volume of incoming patient calls and inquiries regarding appointment scheduling, concerns and issues via telephone, email and whats app.
  • Provide guidance and support to all patients, mentoring and coaching throughout the process, showing empathy and compassion
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the system.
  • Provide information to patients about services offered, including preparation for appointments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the team.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence related to patient bookings.
  • Assist in resolving any patient concerns or issues with professionalism and empathy.

Skills

  • Previous experience of dealing with high volume telephone and email queries
  • Previous experience in building relationships with patients during their medical journey
  • Experience within a medical or healthcare background/industry
  • Strong telephone experience, exposure of dealing with high volume calls
  • Administrative experience with proficiency in using office software and booking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
  • A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
