Salary: £23,000 - £26,000

This insurance broker is seeking an Operational Risk & Compliance Advisor to join the team. As the Operational Risk & Compliance Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards while effectively managing operational risks. You will collaborate closely with various teams across the organisation to develop and implement robust risk management and compliance frameworks.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement operational risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks.
  • Conduct training, advice and support to staff on complaints and compliance to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide call monitoring reviews by listening to inbound and outbound calls to analyse and evaluate skills against established metrics and compliance and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with business units to assess the impact of new products, initiatives, or processes on operational risk and compliance.
  • Provide education to the employees on the necessary regulations and the impact to the organisation if they are not complied with.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and regulatory authorities on operational risk and compliance issues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in operational risk management and compliance.
  • Get involved with ad hoc projects within the business

Experience & Skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 year’s insurance experience in working within a customer focussed insurance role.
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy due to the nature of the compliance role.
  • If have compliance experience within insurance that would be ideal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
