An established and forward-thinking financial services firm based in Manchester City Centre is seeking a skilled and dynamic Operations Manager to lead a key transformation of its internal operations.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in redesigning the structure and performance of the firm’s administration function — supporting strategic growth and delivering service excellence

Role Overview:

You’ll work closely with the Operations Director to reshape how the business operates on a daily basis. From performance frameworks to hybrid working models, you’ll be at the forefront of operational innovation and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help implement a new team structure, progression routes, and salary bandings
• Design staff appraisal systems and a performance-linked bonus scheme
• Roll out hybrid working models across the administration team

• Lead the recruitment and onboarding of admin and technical support roles
• Conduct skills assessments and implement targeted training plans

• Manage workflow allocation and task delivery
• Monitor KPIs including:
  • Task volumes
  • SLA compliance
  • Regulatory review schedules
  • Support for financial advisers
• Provide regular reports to senior leadership

• Partner with the Process Improvement function to:
  • Review and streamline operational systems
  • Identify and adopt new technology to enhance efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven operational leadership experience — ideally in financial services or a regulated environment
• Deep understanding of workflow systems, metrics, and performance management
• Communication and team-building skills
• Experience in designing and implementing training, reward, and appraisal systems
• Confidence in leveraging technology to improve processes
