We are recruiting for an experienced Paraplanner join a well-established financial planning firm. This role combines advanced paraplanning with the delivery of regulated advice on complex estate planning cases, particularly involving Inheritance Tax (IHT), trusts and offshore investment bonds.

You will support Strategic Planners across the business, providing high-level technical expertise, drafting detailed suitability reports and delivering specialist advice where required. The role will also involve mentoring colleagues and ensuring complex cases meet FCA regulatory and Consumer Duty standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex research into IHT planning, trusts and investment bonds
• Prepare high-quality suitability reports for complex planning scenarios
• Use cashflow modelling tools to support client recommendation
• Provide technical oversight and compliance support for complex cases
• Mentor and support advisers and paraplanners on technical planning areas

Requirements:

• Strong experience in estate planning, IHT mitigation and trusts
• Knowledge of investment bond taxation (including segmentation, assignment and top-slicing)
• Ability to translate technical planning into clear client recommendations
• Experience using Intelligent Office, Iress, CashCalc or similar systems

Qualifications:

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
• Valid SPS or ability to obtain quickly
• AF1 (Tax & Trusts) preferred
• STEP qualification advantageous
