Payroll Coordinator

A well-established, global engineering firm are currently looking to bring on an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their accountancy function in Burscough.  This will initially be a 6-month contract to cover maternity leave but has the possibility of going longer.

As the successful Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing approx. 300 weekly timesheets and will be responsible for overseeing the full payroll process of start to end.  Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Collate all timesheets for weekly paid employees, collate hours paid along with calculating and processing additional pay items e.g. subsistence, bonus, fares and travel, etc
  • Calculate and process Furlough Payments
  • Calculate and monitor any sickness pay/paternity pay etc
  • Monitor and coordinate additional payroll functions including:
    • Tax codes/HMRC notifications
    • Subsistence forms
    • Pension contributions
    • Additional deductions (e.g. Bike2Work Scheme, Childcare Vouchers etc)
    • Company share contributions
    • Auto-enrolment
    • Child maintenance deductions/court orders
  • Liaise with additional departments including HR
  • Process starters and leavers, along with P45s and P60s

You must be able to show a working knowledge or weekly payroll functions to be successful in this role.  The company’s key system is COINS however training will be provided for this.
