One of my clients, a leading global firm within the medical device industry are currently looking to expand their manufacturing team and recruit an experienced Production Planning Engineer. 

You will be the Project Manager for product and supplier resourcing as well as changes within the supply chain manufacture. You will oversee the management of product transfers within the supply chain and ensure design definition is maintained in line with manufacturing practices.

You will be the “Expert” on all current designs to ensure their structure in line with key strategies (Manufacturing and Supply Chain).  Other duties will include critiquing and evaluating items required in a bill of material for R&D, recommending alternatives if unsuitable for manufacture without compromising the finished product.  You will also develop cost projections and ensure SAP planning and Master data is accurately maintained. 

A degree within business, manufacturing or engineering is desirable however experience of working within a Design & Manufacturing environment is essential and must be proven. 

You must be proficient in SAP. You must also display experience of leading people within projects.
