Working for one of the UK's leading management consultancy companies, the role of Project Manager will be to foresee and mitigate risk and to plan, organise and control activities, so that the project is completed on time and to budget. This forward-thinking company work with the likes of Marks and Spencers, Ebay, and Arcadia help with all learning and development areas to drive change, transform culture and create a more agile, customer-focused business.

This role would suit someone who is driven and passionate and who has a proven background in Project Management. Previous experience working for a consultancy business is desirable but not essential. This is a very fast-paced and demanding position that requires you to be on the ball every day all day! You need to have experience of dealing with external clients and have the ability to lead from the front.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the delivery point of contact for the client for all activities related to time, budget and contracts
  • Take full accountability for project planning, time management and the monitoring and communication of earned value to the team and client
  • Project reporting to the client and internal team as required by process or client demands
  • Effective and proactive management of issues and risks, reviewing these regularly with the team, and devising actions to mitigate them
  • Ownership of the change control process and support to the Growth Hub on commercial activities
  • Ensure learning from experience is captured and communicated to the wider business and project close out processes are followed

Experience required

  • Significant project management skills (planning, organising, communication, evaluation and review)
  • Ideal experience would be consultancy experience with external clients (learning and development, event planning, talent management, and leadership assessment)
  • Familiarity with a wide range of learning, engagement and talent services is desirable
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • A high degree of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Significant experience of using project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2 qualified or equivalent)
