On behalf of our client, a leading drug discovery and development company, we are looking to recruit a Veterinarian to support the in vivo pharmacology group within the infectious disease department

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Experience in the field of laboratory animal science
• Extensive surgical experience and skills
• Home Office License A-C and knowledge of the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. Desirable to have completed relevant modules to hold a project licence.
• In-depth knowledge of animal welfare conditions
• Excellent leadership and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organise daily tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Leadership of surgical and other technical procedures
• Able to use initiative to solve problems and troubleshoot with the assistance of other members of the team; ability to work in a tight knit team
• A flexible approach to working hours due to study demands.
