Sales & Operations Executive – Liverpool Salary £30,000-£36,000
Looking for a driven Sales and Operations Executive to join an expanding team in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in freight forwarding—especially LCL—who is passionate about business development and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new business through outbound calls, emails, and client visits.
- Build tailored freight solutions to meet customer needs.
- Prepare and negotiate competitive quotes and contracts.
- Monitor market trends and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Represent the company at trade events and assist the UK Sales Manager on joint customer calls.
- Support shipment coordination, tracking, and status updates.
- Step in to manage operations during busy periods or team absences.
- Prepare shipping documentation and liaise with overseas agents and carriers.
- Resolve customer queries and maintain high service standards.

- Commercial: Strong sales ability, market awareness, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Operational: Solid understanding of freight forwarding, keen eye for detail, and ability to troubleshoot.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills, adaptable team player, and well-organised.
- Personal: Resilient, proactive, flexible, and professional in all interactions.
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or shipping, with a focus on LCL.
- Good knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms, and global trade.
- Strong customer service, multitasking, and IT skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage workload independently.
- Familiarity with ocean carriers and working with overseas partners/agents.
Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week
Salary £30,000-£36,000 Plus yearly bonus
