Sales Ledger/Credit Controller - £30,000 - Liverpool
Looking for a Sales Ledger / Credit Controller to join a growing business and support the wider Accounts Department with day-to-day transactional finance activities. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced organisation with multiple businesses operating under one group, where large volumes of transactions pass through the accounts function every day.
You will be working as part of a small, supportive accounts team, assisting with sales ledger duties, credit control, and general transactional accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the sales ledger and maintaining accurate customer accounts
- Carrying out credit control, including chasing overdue payments and resolving account queries
- Processing and reconciling high volumes of invoices and transactions
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and account allocations
- Supporting the accounts team with general transactional finance tasks
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple businesses within the group
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience in a Sales Ledger or Credit Control role
- Comfortable working with high volumes of invoices and transactions
- Experience using Sage and/or Xero would be highly advantageous
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy finance environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team
