Technical Sales Advisor – Leigh

A leading distributor is looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to bridge the gap between a busy trade counter and the internal sales office. This is a hybrid desk-and-counter role where no two days are the same.

Duties:

• Customer Service: Greet and assist trade professionals at our trade counter and handle inbound phone and email inquiries.
• Order Management: Process customer orders accurately from start to finish using our internal systems.
• Quotations: Create, price, and follow up on technical quotes for trade and commercial clients.
• Stock Control: Check stock availability, coordinate with the warehouse, and prepare orders for customer collection.
• Technical Advice: Use your product knowledge to recommend the right solutions for construction and trade projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Industry Experience: You must have a background working for a trade merchant, building supplier, or construction distributor.
• Dual Capabilities: Experience working face-to-face over a trade counter and handling admin/sales in an office setting.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn a diverse range of products and speak confidently with trade professionals.
• Strong Skills: Excellent communication, sharp attention to detail for order processing, and solid IT literacy.

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Salary £28,000-£30,000
