• Veterinary care of laboratory animals (rodents)
• Project licence holder covering multiple programs (PPL)
• Liaising with all named personnel, including the Home Office Inspector and NVS, NACWO and NTCO onsite
• Review and advise on experimental protocols to ensure compliance and attention to 3Rs
• Leadership of surgical and other technical procedures
• AAALAC maintenance and certification renewal as veterinarian reference
• Input into research proposals from a veterinary perspective
• Lead a veterinary pharmacy
• Assist in the training of employees.
• Undertake original research into the pathogenesis of infectious disease or the activity of antimicrobial agents
