My client, based in Stockport are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Advisor for an initial 2 month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the “go to” person for the organisation

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Resolve troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developer

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable detailed knowledge of server farm management
  • Displays a sound understanding of VOIP technologies
  • Good knowledge of networking topologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of software security solutions such as Mcafee total defence etc
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines


  • Working knowledge of administration of a Citrix environment
  • Knowledge of Mitel telephony system
